I tried accessing my messages this afternoon after work (no time this morning before work; no access at work.), and immediately sent an email to Bruce about the problem, before seeing Jeffrevs posting the complete URL to get to one's messages.
I did post a few replies here and there, like on the "spinner's track". Hasn't been a lot worth commenting on lately. It is getting into the Summer league time of year where a lot of people leave bowling for golf or just cut down on their bowling.
Some of us have more outdoors work that needs to be done; for me it's mowing, which takes two-three 2-hour sessions and it's been hot and muggy here in NJ. A few other minor personal emergencies, as life tends to throw at us once in a while. Other than that, I'll be here to abuse and be abused.

Charlest, you need my new John Deere Lawn Tractor with it's 42" cut. It would do your mowing much faster and at the same time, give you more time for bowling, plus it even has a cup holder to place your Cold Beer in while mowing.

Can't afford one. Just rehabilitated my Toro for $250 and learned I could have bought a new one for $400. Ouch! Now I have to get a trimmer, gas powered or an electric with 250 ft extension cord. Anyone know where I can locate some anti-vibration gloves?

Maybe a bike shop. I have a Grainger catalog around here somewhere. I'll take a look in there and if I find anything I'll post it.
Lotsa laffs around here yesterday. I think I set a new personal record for posts in a day. One or two of them even had something to do with bowling.

Grainger does have anti-vibration gloves, and they have lots of different kinds; some of which have half-fingers if that kind suits you better (cooler!). I'd still probably try a bike shop first. You can check Grainger at www.grainger.com and put "anti-vibration gloves" in the search engine.
I don't know exactly where you are in Jersey, but they have these locations if any are nearby: Atlantic City, Clifton, Cranford, Eatontown, Mt. Laurel, Newark, North Bergen, Paramus, South Plainfield, Trenton, West Caldwell, and Wharton. You could go in and look some of them over. Grainger is an amazing place if you like tools. Their catalog is almost 4000 pages. Very little of it is out in the showroom of course, but they have most of it or can get it within 24 hours.

Speaking of laws I just fertilized mine and have a couple kids come by and mow my lawns every two weeks. They edge it and do a great job. I pay them 7.oo each time. They enjoy it and being only 10 years old that's a lot of money. In fact one of them is saving all his money so he can buy a car. He has already saved over 300 dollars.
They mow my lawn and I go bowling.

Nothing to do with a missing person!
Hey where's T god anyway.
I moved to a lake in Florida 20 years ago.
Had a boat. One day I was mowing my lawn, grass was very coarse compared to where I had come from. I was tired, my boat was nearby on the dock.
Some people went by and toasted me with a beer and waved and lauggggghhhheeeed.
I laughed right with them. Turned off the mower. Got my boat key, went skiin with my neighbor.
I've never mowed a lawn since then. Got a lawn service that did it.
Every time I ever thought of mowing I either go to work to make money, go skiing or now bowling or log on to ballreviews OR...... That kills the urge(not strong) to mow my lawn.
REgards,
Luckylefty
PS I do fertilize!

none of that for me for awhile! The Rev's have a condo!!

In CA a postage stamp lot is big bucks and my 3000 Sq ft lawn is large in comparison to my neighbors on my street.
Sorry to hijack the post but where is everyone anyways?

Bracket Creep - Are you from the Bay Area?
LOL I have a long commute to work 3 minutes if I hit the lights. From the stop sign I can shift to to 4th and back to first and I'm at the office. No need to get on the freeway.

Think I would rather mow the 3000 sq ft than the 7 acres I have to every so often. Well at least I have a 60 inch bushhawg. I used to work for some family when I was younger mowing and bailing hay. I remember having 700+ acres of it todo but it paid well and I learned to drive a tractor. Fun stuff beeing under 16 and having a tractor to cruise around on.

I have about 30,000 sq ft of grass and other green stuff.
$7 won't even get someone to show up at my front door.

I have the exact same thing as Charlest and it has to be mowed twice a week, plus I have another 20,000 sq. ft. of other green stuff that has to be mowed every 7-10 days.
And again, like Charlest, $7 won't even get someone to show up at the front door. I live in a housing addition in the country that has 1 to 1 1/2 acre lots with part in grass and part in other green stuff like my yard. I don't know what they charge to mow these yards, but I do know that in town the average lots are 8,000 to 10,000 sq. ft. and the charge to mow and edge them is $35-$45 each time.

If I had that much land to the hell with mowing grass. I would plant wheat and milo and then let the pheasants, quail and chukar in. The only thing I would harvest is the birds then sell off the wheat and milo to whoever for cheap.
Well maybe someday, My postage size lot will be worth a million and then I can retire in one of your states and get something quite large.
I do want to buy something with about 20 acres on it where it backs up to hunting areas. Any of you got anything like that in your areas? I might be interested
