Title: Mistake in changing ball drillers !
Post by: MelvinBrunsTrack on August 18, 2003, 02:05:03 AM
I am just curious , I made a mistake of going to another proshop to have balls drilled up, and they mess up my drilling . To make a long story short . I learned my lesson . If it ain't broke don't fix it . I will never change again .
Thank's to my ball driller ( The Guru ) .

I use to go 90 miles to get my bowling balls drilled. The guy is and still is great, it is just the distance to travel.

I have had gotten quite a few balls {allot} from drillwizard drilled with never a problem. I also have gotten several balls drilled from Doug Sterner also with never a problem.

If a person knows how to measure and fit correctly, or knows how to get the correct pitches and span from a ball you send them I can't understand why the mistake.

What made you want to try this other proshop?

What was wrong with the drilling? Did you ask or complain when getting fitted? Did you say any thing when the ball was done?

My driller was inaccurate and had to do everything over 1 or 2 times almost every time I had something done, so I could either drive 120 miles to 2 good drillers or try someone "on line". I decided to try someone an line first and see how it went. I chose Doug Sterner and it was the smartest thing I ever did. The drilling was perfect and accurate right down to the 1/32nd of an inch. Best fit I've had in years.

Melvin43,  is your ball driller in the Washington, DC area? There is one in this area who goes by that name (The Guru).  If you are in the area, what shop screwed up?

I can not tell who messed up the drilling of my ball . It was just one person and I would not want to give that proshop a bad name . They have good people there working  .

I changed ball drillers but I can honestly tell you it wasn't a mistake.
