Whats the highest pins over series you've seen?

Bowling on my Tuesday night league this week, one of the guys on my team bowled 213 over for a series. He's got a 127 average, is just learning how to bowl a hook over the last 3 months and he hit games of 226, 148, and 220. He'd never had a 200 game before that night and damn near hit a 600 series. I would have to say that's definately the most pins I've ever seen over average in a series...how about you guys?  =)

I,ve had a 172 over average series and I can,t recall any other series higher
than that. There is a site with all sorts of facts and figures on it such as
highest over average games and series,strange team scores,odd triplicate series
ect but I can,t recall the name.

I Bowled 246 with an average of 121 and 209 with a 90 odd average.

a friend of mine had an 806 series with his first 300 game last summer.  he averages around 200, so that's 200+ over.

he had just purchased an inferno, and had about 10 boards of room.  he throws the ball hard with ALOT of power/revs, and the pins were just exploding all night long.  i think i damaged my eardrums . . .

I was averaging 151 back in 1995 and shot 207-300=154 / 661 (my first 600, too)

208 pins over series average.  Haven't been that close to it since!

Well, the night I shot my 811 series, my actual average in that league after the first 3 weeks was 185. so, that's +256.
However - if you figure it from the average I finished with in that league (207), its +190.

Not too shabby!!!
