Milo:  Manteca? The league sounds great, but how about housing it at a location that has more people than cows?

LOL, yea, that is true. Manteca is a somewhat central location for Northern California though. Last year we had teams from the East Bay, Stockton, Modesto, Sacramento and from as far south as Sonora. At least it's all freeway driving, no 4WD needed!

Steven-- A little bit of common sense--"local business have added $6,000."  Why would they put up money

for a league in a different location?

I wasn't suggesting the Manteca businesses put up money for a league in a different location. My question was why try to do a scratch league in Manteca? At first thought it's an isolated and undesireable location, but as Milo indicated, it draws well from Bay Area bowlers willing to drive.

It's impressive they've got $6,000 added. If it wasn't a 5 hour drive for me, I'd sign up.

Yep, Daniel is on Mike Keough's team.(the guy who bought the pro shop from Rod and Theresa). I don't remember Frank bowling with us last season.

I've considered that Thursday league in Dublin, been asked a few times. I drive to Dublin for the Friday night PBA league, but Thursday is a school night.
