I tend to go with " Bowling This Month " instead of the reviews here because of the three testers and the 3 or should I say 4 patterns they use for testing. (4 since they added the sport shot.) (The original 3 are dry/med/wet and the 3 types of bowlers are stroker/tweener/cranker.) Bowlers Journal is good BUT not as thorough as BTM.

(I still will consider this site as long as the review has a discription of the style of play the bowler uses and also a review of the lane condition they were bowling on.

We take Bowling this Month at the shop and Bowling Digest.  They are two totally different types of magazines but I like them both.  It all depends on what you are looking for.  This site does have very good information at times but still does not replace the magazines and vise versa.  We have subscribed to BTM the longest of all and it's a more tech magazine.  Not a splashy/flashy publication but functional.

Bowling This Month is the technical "bowlers" magazine.Great tips for the middle to advanced player, along with the renowned ball reviews.

Bowling Digest is the bowling fans magazine- worth the read, though.

Bowlers Journal is the overall bowling magazine - has some ball reviews, some tips, some business news, some collegiate and international news.

As far as I know, those are your only choices. I get all of them.

I get Bowlers Journal and I think they try to provide a good mix for all aspects of the bowling industry, as well as reviewing the new equipment and tips for all levels.

From what I have seen at the pro shop I have my equipment drilled out at, Bowling This Month would be my next consideration for a bowling magazine purchase.

I do think this site has the most accurate and helpful information though, as you can get answers quickly and hone in on what will be most beneficial for your own game through the replies and exchange of ideas.
