More of my continuing rant about my team.

Last night we win game one by over 120 sticks, in spite of our anchor's robust 130 game.  Game two is close; our anchor gets up, last to bowl, and needs a decent count, spare, count to win.  Dumps it in the ditch and we're shut out; proceeds to start game 3 by dumping his first ball in the ditch again; says " that was just to prove that last frame was no accident".  Ditches at least two more on easy middle of the lane spares.  Now we all have ditched one now and again, but this shot called for you to play no further right than 7, no matter what you were trying to do.  Our anchor is well known for showing up tanked and getting more so as the night goes on.  I can only conclude that he was pretty well in the bag last night.  At one point as I was heading up to bowl he says something to me and I told him to "just go bowl."  Frankly I've about had it with this guy.  Since I'm not the team captain I cannot boot him, but would it be unreasonable to bring it up with the capt. and suggest getting rid of him?  Or maybe I should just drop the whole team and look for another spot next year?

First step would be to bring it up to the rest of the team.  Maybe they all feel the same way but don't want to be the squeeky wheel.  If they don't see the problem, then I suggest declaring yourself a free agent now and find a new team for next year.  I did that a few years ago and got approached by about 3 or 4 teams.

I wouldn't take it rags....have a talk with the cap....if it really bothers you and the cap refuses you could quit that league to make the point...

Ever think of bowling on a team with Republicans. You wouldn't have that problem. Sorry about that I couldn't help myself, just kidding. I bowled against a bunch of jerks last night also. At this point in the season I probably would just finish. As for next year I'd see what lineup they were putting together then decide. There are some people I will just not bowl with.

Being a non confrontation guy (and like you of small stature and fearing bodily harm ) unless there was some compelling reason I wanted to bowl with the other team members I would simply drop the team next year and look for a new team.

Republicans are beginning to look good.  At least they'd show up on time, more or less sober.  And, from what I've seen here, at least some of them can bowl well.  Besides, it wouldn't be a big change - most of the league is redneck sort of good ole boys.

'Bones, the sad part is I've bowled on the same team, with this guy and two other original members for about 10 years now.  But "doug" seems to be getting worse.  I think I'll finish the year and look for something new next year.
