Most Skid Flip ball

What is the most skid flip ball out from 2013 to 2014? Primarily when you have to get really deep and need the ball to turn the corner and get out the corner pins.  What is the most angular and just won't quit on the back end?

I'm thinking about a freak'n frantic.  From what I have seen that ball has crazy backend.

What do you think?  What ball and how drilled?

That really surprises me on the Byte. For most that I've seen, even the crankers, that ball typically is more hook-set. It just shows that it's all about ball-to-bowler matchups!

Strong pearl asymetricals can generally be set up to be the most angular from deep inside.  A lot depends on your style.  Hyroads are immensely popular, but I don't really have enough revs to make them great deep inside.  I like the Lucid from real deep.  The Byte isn't bad either.  Also, even though a symmetrical ball, the Marvel pearl is a great ball for me when I start getting deep.  I imagine the Optimus would be similar.

The key for me from inside is getting the right length with the right speed.  I want a ball that I don't have to chuck hard to get it to my breakpoint so it won't turn too early.. I also don't want to have to slow it down too much to allow it to make the corner.  I can get the reaction I want with just about any ball by changing speed and my hand.. I'm trying to find a ball that I can minimize all of the changes.  I find that with the stronger "high end" pearls, even though they are pretty sharp, they all tend to turn early and burn up a bit too quickly.  I have a totally defiant, and that ball is a lot cleaner than I thought it would be but it still doesn't have the angle, turn, and continuation I am looking for.  I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the layout, as I didn't want to turn the ball into a condition or shot specific ball.

Maybe its just me, but the Optimus is TERRIBLE inside. The Marvel Pearl was great inside. The Optimus is a 4 pin/2 pin machine, miss too far wide and stands up and washes out, miss in, its that ugly 4 pin/2 pin reaction. So far, this ball is not that popular around here.

Havent thrown the Optimus, but my Marvel Pearl is also great inside.  Interesting that you don't like the Optimus inside, since they are supposed to be so close.  In answer to the earlier observation about getting roll out from deep angles, I think that can be a big problem with asymetricals.  Several asymetrical Storm pearls cause me that problem, including the Anarchy, Nano Pearl, but interestingly not the Lucid.  I haven't thrown my Byte enough to tell.

I think it really depends a lot on the drilling with asymetricals.. Especially if they have a strong mass bias differential.  My anarchy was pretty good for me.  The guy I got it from hated it for the reason you were talking about. He has a long pin to pap and pretty high above the fingers. Ball just wanted to roll forward at any sign of friction..  I shortended the pin to PAP and brought it down into my ring finger and it was pretty good.  I would be interested to know your layout specs on the Anarchy and Nano pearl vs the Lucid.. as all of these have pretty strong mass bias, I think.

At the time the Motiv Primal Rage (Red ball) was released in mid-2013, it achieved the highest backend rating score of any ball tested by BTM, ever.
 
Maybe something else has emerged as the new king, but the Rage is an incredible piece. I love the ball when I can use it, but on many THS conditions I see, the Rage on the backend can be too much.
