Post by: Grayson on May 08, 2008, 08:02:59 AM
What balls are in your oppinion most underrated and got almos no hype though they work real fine or are in your oppinion not just fine but real good!
and name one opposite example

I start with my Track Machine. This ball almost got no hype here in Germany from my point of view
the opposite is the BWP... almost everyone has one here

I never really hear anything about the Clash from Ebonite. That ball gave me my first 300. It rolls very smooth and should not be overlooked.

Morich Total Shock & Awe is one that I don't see anything about. This ball kicks booty given that there is some oil. Even without a lot of oil last Sat in the 9pin tourny I shot 9 in a row then through two nine strikes then another natural. I was mad..but I still got accounted for a 300 but i wanted that natural so bad again..lol

Another great ball thats over looked is the Bash by Ebonite. I've gotten LOTS of high games with this one. On a decent night I avg over 210 with it.

Matter of fact just Monday night for 7 games I avg a 244 using the TS&A along with the Bash. then just got flat out exhausted and shot two low games one around 200 and other a 180 and still managed to avg 222.

Great balls and everyone wonders why my friend and I shoot so high! lol

Rival, I'm the only one I've seen use it since it came out, which is almost a year ago.  Its so good I drilled 2 more.

I wouldn't say the Complete NV is overated, the NVS yes, but not the Complete.  Every one i've seen has looked great. The NVS on the other hand, not so great

underated: I would have to say Bangers stuff as a whole Pounders and Finders at least the two I have. HFS and HPP Both have smooth breaks and amazing carry and read the lane very very well. I would take my HFS and HPP over THE Break, any Agent, any NV, or any Widow.

Overated: Anything Ebonite. The Break is a okay ball but I am not 100 percent sold on it yet.

I have to with the Columbia Apogee, but also, The Wrath High Flush has gotten very little respect, for me that ball is very very good.
Don't get me wrong the Rival is probably the most versatile ball in the Columbia line

The most underrated ball of this season has to be the Ebonite Raid.  We have had more honor scores shot with Raids we have drilled than any other ball this year.

Storm X-Factor Deuce. I don't see too many of them anymore, and I don't recall seing too many of them then, but the ball works wonders.

Most underrated, in my opinion, would have to be the AMF Orbit Xtreme Sky Blue.. What a piece of equipment that ball is.

AMF Heist....one of the best and most versatile balls I have owned. Reminds me a lot of the Track Havoc I used to have which was also very versatile and even though it had a strong backend, the Heist is stronger, mixes the pins better and carries better.

What about the Anger. My brother has 2 of them & does pretty damn good with them. He's also the only 1 I've seen throwing it. The way this ball works for him, I'm surprised you never see any of the pros using it.

Brunswick Fury

This ball seems to have received a bum rap due to the hype before it's release, but this ball is flat out awesome.  It is a very versatile ball, and is the ball I go to when the shot is tough and nothing else will read the lanes consistently.
