I assume it was the solid and not the pearl.

Was probably Columbia's biggest hooking ball at the time.

A team mate of mine on a Wed. 5 man league still uses one as his main ball.   :)

Was this Columbia 300's first super-flex ball?

No the Aftershock was the first Super Flex ball.  The listing on BBV is incorrect and should be Flexcel on the Blue Piranha.

Was this Columbia 300's first super-flex ball?

No just different types of coverstocks that C300 used over the years.  I was just explaining there was a difference as C300 moved forward.  There were different Flexcel's also.

The original Cuda/C was flexcel. I still have mine. Was there basically any difference between the Cuda/C and Blue Piranha/C (Other than color)?

Also about Super-Flex. It seemed to be a popular coverstock for Columbia300 over the years.

I forget which cover is on what ball, but I do remember Flexcel, Flexcel G2, and Flexcel G4 were the different iterations of Flexcel before SuperFlex came out.

Cuda C had a lower RG than the Piranha/c and gave you a lot more pop(back in its day) on the back end.  The piranhas rolled earlier and didn't flare as much as the Cuda C.  Both would be good nowadays for really late blocks or worn surfaces with not as much volume.

Will agree on that... Since I have both...  lol.....  Cuda/C is best when the lane is alittle dry and gets down with easy...  Dont know the limitation on the Piranha yet...

It was the first ceramic core ball Col brought out with a low rg more like what has become the norm in recent years.  Very strong ball for its time.

Cuda C was immensely popular with tour guys ( Holman really liked it ) and league bowlers alike.  I won a couple of local tournaments with mine.
