Title: Motiv Tank vs Storm Super Natural

Has anyone had a change to throw both of these   pros cons  and what is difference between the 2 ? I  am lookin at both  and i throw about 14 mph  with a lot of revs   very dry houses where my track 300A  gets too strong

The tank is a solid urethane..and the supernatural is a hybrid urethane.
Solid/pearl mix will go longer than the solid.

I think a bigger difference is the core, with the Tank having a much lower RG and the surface finish: 2000 grit dull vs. 1500 grit polished. Of course both could be finished the same.

I'm having a Super Natural drilled up tomorrow. I'll give some insights after throwing a few practice games.

Got a chance to throw a few games with the Super Natural (SN).


First, don't be fooled with this "hybrid stuff" regarding the SN cover. While it gets through the heads clean and makes a controlled move off the dry, it's still a Urethane ball. It reminds me of a slightly more aggressive version of the Brunswick Avalanche for a direct comparison.


I haven't thrown a Tank, but my guess is that the SN is longer with a more pronounced move off the dry. The Tank RG and unpolished NIB cover will pretty much dictate that difference.


Back to the SN, I'm thinking it will probably be the most useful Urethane I've thrown. I've owned most of the modern era Urethanes (dull and polished), and my initial thought is that the SN will be the most versatile. I'm looking forward to using it on a shorter tournament WTBA pattern next weekend.

How did you drill your SuperNatural?

Also do you remember how you drilled your Avalanche?

I still have mine.
I thought I saw a slightly bit more continuation on the SN than I had on my Avalanche (in a SN video). I still preferred the Slingshot to the Avalanche; both hooked almost the same, with the same drilling, but the SS had more continuation.
