MR. 900 BOOK
« on: August 02, 2020, 07:49:55 PM »
The new Glenn Allison book is available to purchase online. It's a good read for many of those who have had the opportunity to know and bowl with such a gracious man. And even if you haven't had the opportunity to know him it's away to know him.
the e-mail address is mr900book.com.
A portion of the proceeds from the book go directly to BVL. So, even if you don't buy one for yourself. Buy one for a friend or two. Happy reading.
Again it's mr900book.com

Speaking of 900.  Did anyone see where Wesley Low shot one recently and even moved to a different pair of lanes after game 2?  Congrats to him.  Similar to the one Sonnenfeld shot back in mid 90s.

Yep.. Saw Low's.. that was some good stuff. didn't show any nerves or anything. Just went up, threw the shots, and went about his business. If he had any nervousness about it, he didn't show it.

And for Sonnenfeld? Definitely saw that. I was there. My junior year at UNL. C300 sold a TON of Blue Pearl Pulses off the back of that.

Wesley Low comes across as a really nice guy and a real hard worker. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

One funny thing is he didn’t even win the tournament, he actually finished 9th. Crazy.
Happy go lucky bowler from the UK.
Specs. 430rpm,18mph off hand. 11-12deg Tilt, 50-60 deg Rotation. PAP 5 1/4 by 3/4 up.

I would love to read this book, but $29?  What portion/percentage of the proceeds go to BVL?

It isn't mentioned at the website which is why the question was asked, therefore I will assume none of the proceeds go to BVL.  Thanks!

Bob Johnson is a major supporter of the BVL. Maybe find some way to contact thru books website to get an answer.

Perhaps you could get the answer from whoever it was that asked you to "get the word out".

"If guns kill people, do pencils misspell words?"

Is this really the most recent post on the entire site?  Hard to believe no one has posted in over 2 days.

It's time to finally get Glenn Allison's 900 recognized as a USBC achievement. There has been already 37 blanket sanctioned 900's bowled since his was bowled with a polyester ball. None were bowled during the urethane short lived era until a reactive resin additive was introduced to urethane in the modern era of reactive resin equipment. So I'm beating on a horse. He's not dead yet. But, he deserves this recognition beyond any doubt. His achievement on the lanes was so over scrutinized by todays standards. We need to fix this. USBC post ABC is still ours. We need to use our majority to make this right before he's gone. It wouldn't be right by him posthumously like a horse.

Perhaps your effort would be better spent trying to convince the DHIC of USBC Chad Murphy.

Believe it or not, Chad doesn't give a shit what we think.

I personally agree with you on that topic. We also need to get rid of this person. There's no need to lock him into a lifelong management role. Even if his contract was to expire he still retains a role in the USBC in a management. That only happens in family owned corporations. Since when did he buy the USBC? Unless there's some corruption behind the scenes Al Capone style. Just sayin.
