Multi-pin spares
« on: December 05, 2009, 06:50:48 AM »
Talking about spares on the left side of the head pin, and for a right hander. Do you like to go more cross lane at them or move right, shoot the same spot, and have the ball hook into the pins? I chop the bucket and other groups of pins on the left side too often. What do you think?

I shoot cross lane and straight at them, the only exception is anything including the 2-8 I do hook at to ensure covering the sleeper pin.

Its all about practice and feel, and what you can consistently do, everyone is a little different.

I move to the right and throw over the same spot.  The thing I have to be careful with is that I don't come around the ball causing me to chop pins on the left side.  Since I started focusing on keeping my release consistent I have had a higher success rate with picking up spares on the left side.
