Multiple ball switches
« on: October 05, 2004, 02:24:28 AM »
I’ve seen posts where they said they shot 259, 237, and 245 last night. They started with my Master-blaster 6000, switched the second game to my Binford Pincrusher strike king, and the third game I went to my slide deluxe half pocket bruiser.

I’ve never had a successful night where I have switch balls more than once after the league has begun. The vast, vast, vast majority of the time I used the same ball for the whole set. As the lanes change I move my line to continue to get the ball to the preferred breakpoint.

I can’t imagine taking a ball out of my hand that I have been virtually striking at will with and pulling another ball simply because the shot moved a board or two.

Am I in the minority on this?

I can move I can play various parts of the lane.  All I am saying is if I am more comfortable switching balls and keeping the same line whats wrong with that.  Some people would rather move and some would rather switch balls.  On thursday yes i have used 3 different balls but its handicap mens league and not that serious to me last night on my wed. scratch I only switched balls after the start of the third game the rest of the night prior I moved and kept the same ball.  Its just personal preference some people are much more comfortable moving a few boards here or there and some people trust they can score better by grabbing another ball.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.
Now that I am back and my Saws are sharp again, I am ready to cut some wood.
