Is there a better ball or ball company for "carry"?
« on: July 11, 2011, 02:02:37 AM »
Been bowling for years and i often here people say "x ball company is known for its carry" or "this ball does this and that", it is true im no bowling scholar, as i dont really understand rg, axis, tilt, speed, and how it all ties together. I carry a 205-210 average year in an year out and i only bowl 1 time a week in 1 league for 30 weeks out of 52. However, i bowl with someone who has a beautiful delivery, knows the game well, and it seems like he always gets tapped. i know everyone does here and there but this guy truely leaves 10 pin, 7 pin, all night long, he averages 195-200. it pains me to see my teamate continually leave corner pins when he has such a nice delivery and is very accurate.

so with all the hooplah and craziness of bowling balls, surfaces, late hook vs early, rg's, speed, axis, forget that for a minute and tell me is there a certain ball or ball company that has a reputation of getting you the best carry for 10's and 7's? Lane 1? Storm? brunswicks early zone balls in the mid 1990s? anyone have any emperical evidence or thoughts on this topic?

lets face it... this isnt deadlifting or picking up women.. its BOWLING!!!! Stop acting tough when you roll 4 strikes in a row!!!

This is just like the question -- Why do people think newer balls are better when in reality its the bowler...

This thread needs a dipshit response. Gold Rhino Pro is all anyone needs. Ten in the pit and no corner pins to be found.

PURE un-adulterated ignorance.

If it's not self-evident that specific pieces work better on specific pairs and carry percentage is maximized due to entry angle (vs brand etc), then......that's an uneducated individual who probably won't make progress due to inside the box thinking.
