Chun,

You have a good game, from the limited view i can see. You stay very low, and have a lot of leverage at the line. Timing is also pretty good.

There are issues about your game that are quite similar to mine, but they're just suggestions and what not- things that I am working on in my own personal game.

Your pushaway goes right. Try straightening that out. It causes your swing to go behind you. The backswing's peaks out near your spine, rather instead of your right shoulder.

At release, again, you have a damn good knee bend, and have a lot of leverage at the line. The ball is close to your ankles and your "lines" are pretty damn good. Your spine lines up with your slide leg/knee at release, etc.

The only issue is when I press pause on your video during the release point, is that your hand is going around the ball a lot. It causes high axis rotation and low track. This can cause you a lot of heartache when bowling on extremely heavy floods, and some patterns that may play medium to dry for higher track players could play extremely oily for you... and imagine what a 43'-45' flat sport pattern could do to you even with that big hooking Cherry Bomb you have in your hands. A good drill for this is the "football drill". Lots of coaches know about this. I am sick and it's really late right now, and I should post about this tomorrow.

Remember, they are just suggestions. Good luck.

thanks so much Jeremy..

and i had even lower track and high axis tilt before. My wrist break too much, but now i'm trying to cup my wrist a little bit.
i'm having much better ball reaction since i did that.

Nice clean release though, I know I'm jealous.  I'm jealous that you can get a Cherry Bomb down the lane too.  That shot would have been brooklyn EASY at the house I bowl at.  My boss was hooking plastic today at about 14 or 15 mph, lay it down at 5, it'd be in the left gutter by 55 feet.  You could get particle to do the same thing though, it's a weird house.

Nice form. You have a very "PB III esque" finish at the line.

I know that were you to go to most of the coaches around here, one of the first things they would have you do is work on freeing up your armswing that last little bit. As it is you're so close to a free swing, but it looks like there's a little resistance at the push off & through the beginning of the backwswing. This can sometimes lead to inconsistancy.

Also, a free armswing may give you a little more speed, helping to carry the occassional off hit a little better.

As I said, you're really close & only a coach would know whether it would be worth changing your swing at this point in the game. But I know if a little inconsistancy or slow ball speed was an issue, that's where I would start.

You have a nice game.  Great knee bend.  Reminds me of Paul Fleming at the line a little (big compliment).

Yes, I agree that you hop.  Not that it's a bad thing, just different and unnecessary.  Dno't worry about heel-to-toe... just try to walk.  It's easy to say but hard to do.  A coach is needed to help you with that.

You have a solid foundation, it's hard to imagine you don't strike enough to average 200+.  However, you might not be sparing enough.  The best way to increase your average is to be a better spare shooter.  Forget the expensive bowling balls and pick up a cheap plastic 3-piece spare ball (not a XXXL), like a white dot.  When going to the center to "practice" don't keep score just work on hitting single pins.  Learn to throw it hard and straight at everything... even the 5-pin and especially the corners, both of them.

Do this for a month and always include a game of spare practice every time you "practice".

Best of luck.

Nice job with the videos.

You look pretty good, just need to bounce a little less, and maybe smooth out the length of your steps.  Try to shorten your first step just a bit, and lengthen your second step a lot.  Right now, your second step is little more than a stutter step.  I have the same problem, which is why I noticed it.

Actually, your game looks very similar to mine.  If you were better looking, people might get us confused.

Chun, you are very low at the line. Contrary to public opinion, this loses leverage..!! You are still bending at the point of release, which decreases leverage. This is why your ball goes long and doesn't carry very well on oil.

Your knee bend should never be greater than 45 degrees, in my opinion. You're about 60+ degrees. You need to firm up your knee bend/leg as your swing/ball is coming by your ankle. This will make you more solid at the line, giving you more leverage and lift.

Your elbow also kicks out at your release. This causes you to come around and spin the ball, further weakening your release.

Other than that, your swing seems real loose and I see a lot of potential. =:^D

I'm not a good spare shooter, not accurate enough.
I own a blue dot, throw it straight (but not hard).
I break my wrist when i throw spare..
90% is not a clear game.

I have to work on the spare ..

T-god, i want to correct this. but don't know how to start .

And again.
Thanks everybody for the suggestions.

the only thing that i would recommend is that you should try to stay behind the ball longer. you can still get the axis rotation you have now by turning later, but staying behind it longer will definately increase your revs. walking to the line is a personal matter in my book, look at bowlers like brad angelo with his studder step stop, muscle the ball to the top, strike and make the lane machine mop. lol i had a good rhyme goin till the last part
