hey jewls just my opinion, you need to bend your knees more and get your hand underneath the ball through your whole delivery so you come around the ball instead of up-th-back.

good luck and good scores.

thanks for the advice... everyone tells me I need more knee bend. I try it and it works for like three or four shots, but I eventually end up returning back to the way it was before.
Suggestions on how I can work on that better?

start with you knees bent more and creep your way down the lane.  or what patrick healey jr. does is bring the ball down lower and drop your right shoulder a little, that way your already down low and level.

Jewls - My observations are this.  The knee bend is what everyone else sees and one way to better this is to hold your position at the finish until the ball finishes through the pins.  You may also want to feed the ball more parallel to the lane instead of the rapid decent. Think of sending the ball under a bar that is resting on a chair.  See Ron Clifton's site for this.

I also see in clip one that you come around the ball a little early and this kills your leverage and rev rate possibilities.  This causes you to release the ball a little further away from your ankle and have a slight chicken wing.  If you look closely after your release your hand crosses to the inside of your line though your finish position of your arm is decent.

I bet if you work on staying down a little longer you will build this strength in your legs and working on staying behind the ball and staying closer to the ankle you will begin to throw a much more powerful ball.

You look pretty good much better than I am.  I am just an Elixir Salesman.

also, you are drifting really far left during your approach.

I already knew that too... I do work on that often, but I think that is not AS important as some of the other things wrong in my approach and armswing.

I highly doubt that!

Jewls - I hope those observations help.  I like so many other bowlers on this site are always looking to improve.  I learned many bad habits growing up and never really had any coaching.  You appear to have some pretty good basics.  If you are willing to work hard you should refine your technique soon.

Like I said I am an Elixir Salesman among other things.  They say those who can't do teach and well I do that pretty well.

Good luck and when you improve shoot another video.

If you any further question feel free to message me.

Number one problem - your pushaway. You hold the ball a bit too far right in your stance, but when you push it away, you push it REALLY too far to the right. The ball goes too far out to the right, then it has no choice but to go behind your back in your backswing.

Yes,..that is what I saw too,....I see pushaways A LOT know that I've had lessons !

In my observation, it looks as though you start with your arm "cocked" to the outer part of your body. Almost as if you are letting the weight of the ball rotate the wrist outward and causing your arm to be like that. Try to keep your arm straight in your setup and that will help your armswing. In turn that should also help you come out of the ball cleaner and get more consistent with your shot. Hope this helps.
