My concoction, will this mixture work?

I have heard people say they use a mixture of simple green, and alchahol, but has anyone ever added doc's elixir to this mixture? I have a batch mixed up with a quarter of a bottle of doc's. Gonna give it a shot, what do you think?

Im gonna put it on my urethane, and see what happens. Its a spare ball any ways.

you'll never convince me that alcohol will not clean a bowling ball . . . NEVER!!!

when the gunk quits coming off my ball using alcohol, i'll quit using alcohol . . . if you say it just rubs around the oil, i'll call bull honkey on you . . . and for all of the hashing and rehashing i've seen on this site, i have yet to see any reall proof!!!

but i love you guys, i really do!!!

Badshot -- You asked, and here it is, taken from the ball maintenance section of the Ebonite.com tech center:

Thanks for the tip about the alcohol...i use about 3/4 simple green, 1/4 alcohol, but i guess i don't need to use it.  If all it does is spread the oil, well, then there's really no point of cleaning with it, huh?
