It was a little disappointing, but productive nevertheless. I averaged a solid 190.25 for the night (four games), but I was hitting the pocket. The shot played like a reverse block with a fair amount of area to get it down the lane. The breakpoint is tigher due to the volume of oil, however. It will start moving if you get it inside, enough to mess with your shot. The backends are VERY strong, and the pattern is about 42 ft long. The only problem is ringing 10's though, which I and others suffered from. I had a good line, just left 10 after 10, then when I tried to move, it was the same thing, only it started adding 4's. I moved too deep, made some bad shots in the second game, and then after the same in the third, I finally found it and bowled a decent game, only marred by the 4th frame where my wrist popped and I lost the ball (also a 10 and a 4, only shots I didn't strike).
Made a few bad choices, but I know where to play the shot now, so I'm not too bummed. High rg or pearl balls are NOT a good choice, lol, just too sharp on already screaming backends to get much carry, cuts through the pins too hard. I need a lower rg or sanded ball. I did the best when I switched to my dead Purple Fuze, not quite as much hook, smoother backend, better line and carry. So a combination of small carry issues, bad choices, and a few bad shots produced a mediocre night. One good note though, I left around 22 makeable spares, and made 20 of them. All my single pins were made, I hit a little high on a 3-6-10, and chopped the 10 off the 6-10. Otherwise, I had 3 splits, and half of my spares were 10's, as well as a solid 7.
