Should i get a slug?

as some of you know, my plug busted in my ball, so at the moment it's being plugged again, and i'm going in in a day or two to get the thumb redrilled...  my question is, should i go with a thumb slug?  

at times it feels like i'm gripping the ball, and after a day of bowling, the base of my thumb feels sore (probably from gripping)...

The beauty of the thumb slug (IMO) is that when you switch from reactive and particle to plastic to throw spares (that's me), the feel of the thumbhole is the same.

how hard are they?  i'd hate to have a slug put in, and then later on decide i don't like it and have to spend 30 bucks to get it filled and drilled, yet again

like the hardness of the slug itself...

compare it to something, a tip insert, a pool ball, somewhere in between...

It's harder than finger inserts and softer than a billiard ball.  It won't feel soft when you put your hand in the ball, but you won't feel tacky resin or slick plastic depending on what kind of ball it is.

Like I said earlier -- I just like 'em because they make plastic and reactive feel the same.
