well here we go...
arrived on Friday not expecting to bowl...found out that there was a team that needed a fifth bowler so I got to bowl the team event with an awesome group of people from the Detroit area. Shot 199, 225, 201.
Singles and doubles on Saturday, had the unfortunate pleasantness of finding a group of lanes that had NO slide at all...it was walk, walk, step, throw, pray. Was fortunate enough to find a shot, had 223, 179, 256, 203.
Doubles didn't shoot too well, was able to slide and that kinda threw me off a bit. Didn't shoot bad though, 191, 214, 214.
Doubles again on Sunday (as well as heavy pins...ugh...one strike in two games...lol) Finally saw the shot even out and was able to put a series together, 240, 204, 256 for 700 on the nose.
And i'm totally kicking myself for not getting into the all-events...i had almost no time in between finding my lane, my equipment, my team, and my shot. Figured out I had 2324 with cap for all-events, so i'll really be kicking myself in November if i would have cashed with that score.
So that's my experience, had a lot of fun, met some awesome people, and found a nice place called Newport in KY, fun times if anybody is still going to the Hoinke this year.
