My Parker Bohn III feedback
« on: April 29, 2008, 11:47:36 PM »
Last week I posted in the Brunswick forum that I asked Parker for some input to my game via some videos. He asked for a phone number(s) and finally, we were able to speak last night. He gave me some good feedback about my upper body motion (leaning forward from the waist during my push away, how I drop my shoulder, some "less is more" things I tend to forget) and recommended a coach in the Atlanta area. He took time out of his schedule which is busy with family and professional to help a regular joe like me. I'm very thankful, not just as a fan, but as a fellow bowler.

Parker is classy. Thanks for reading.

Wow, in the spirit of PBIII, he just called me yesterday afternoon about a lesson or two.  He really is a professional guy.  And his kids were really loud in the background

That's cool - and the way a "sport ambassador" is expected to act. Great respect!

No, Dizzy, I'd never expect a "sport ambassador" to respond to an email by calling my home personally AND offer advice. NEVER! The fact that he does this shows you what kind of person he is, yet again.

IMO, the phone call was "above and beyond". He could have emailed me a reply, but jumped directly to personal contact.

Ric, I meant sarcasm in terms of Team USA's logic. Being a lefty, far be it from me to dissuade ALL lefties making the team.

There should be PBA tag teams and a bracket format tournament, double or even triple elimination.  No holds barred, all out craziness. Baker doubles, best of 3 series up until the quarters, then best of 5.  Final is best of 7.

I've gotten the opportunity to meet Parker as a Teen.  One of my Jr Coach's Bob Wickham used to coach parker as a Jr.  We are from Sacramento, California and Parker had a tourney in Daly City,Ca.  He arranged an interview with him which we recorded,a short practice session and some great feedback.  I would say that he is very down to earth.  He didnt have to give us the time of day but he did.  Glad you were able to have a great experience as well K-Dawg!!

As far as Team USA - PARKER IS ON THE TEAM.
He just wasnt selected to bowl the one specific tournament.
Could be he turned it down for whatever reason.
Not all members of team USA can bowl every tournament.
