Blister Question
« on: August 21, 2004, 09:55:04 AM »
Is it normal to get a blister at the base of your index finger while bowling? Is it ok, or is it something I should look into (improper span/fit/pitches)?
There was a post in which this was discussed a long while back, but I can't find it, and I don't remember what the consensus of the BR crew was. I think somebody may have said the blister is caused by using that part of your hand to turn the ball.

Any info is appreciated.

I don't think so, it's in the same spot I get blisters when I go golfing....but I haven't been golfing yet this year so that doesn't explain anything. Maybe all the calluses I had built up from bowling the last 4 years went away during my 2 month absence (hadn't touched a ball since June before last week), which made my hand more prone to blistering.
