donkee 3/4 hp spinner..over heated, do i just wait for it to cool down and it will come on again or is there somthing i have to do to reset it? thanks.

What makes you think it overheated. I am not trying to be sarcastic on this just trying to help you to know what to do to get it going again.

I don't really play cards and I am not 79, but it fits together somehow.

Most motors have a thermal overload. Let it cool and it SHOULD start again.
May want to look at the motor, top and bottom and see if there are vent holes somewhere on it. If so, make sure they are not clogged with dust dirt or other debris.

thinking it over heated because the plastic covering the motor was really hot. I removed the covering, and pointed the fan, that was pointing at me, to the motor.

Most motors have a reset button that must be engaged after stopping because
of a thermal overload.
Look for a small red button on the back of the motor. Size of it might be
between 1/8 of an inch and 1/4 of an inch. It us usually almost flush with the
case.
I don't know for sure that a motor this small has a reset button but it wouldn't hurt to check.

If you had everything
......where would you put it?

I just let mine sit....if it does not work after that
email donkee and request a new switch, I had 2 of them burn out on me.

FWIW my donkee got hot very quickly and always worried me a lot. WHile it never shut down, it was a worrisome detail that should not have existed on a machine with its purpose. It is one reason I got rid of it, at a loss, and bought a Vertex. It takes a LOT of use for the Vertex is even begin to feel slightly warm. I never worry about it.
Great one, if you donkee dies, I'd recommend a Vertex. Additionally it seems to have a lot more torque, which would seem to be mor eimportant than the Donkees horsepower. (For cars, torque governs acceleration and ability to move mass; horsepower governs top speed.)

............and not only are Vertex Spinners better, but they are also way cheaper.
