What's going on at Strike Mor Pro Shop @ Northcross Lanes?

What's up with Strike Mor Pro Shop, I heard today that Hal sold it and that Eric Deaton is not working there anymore? I guess Mike Whittington is running it now? If it's true I will miss Eric, he was a good guy.

Nice center there in Huntersville. I understand that Eric had some health issues the past few years. Eric is a cool guy. Don't know Mike. Maybe Leon Lamm can offer his assistance there, also.

To clarify things, I understand the shop has been sold to Jeff Morgan and will be managed by Mike Whittington.  Mike use to work at Strike-Mor Pro Shop when Hal owned it at Park Lanes.  He also worked in pro shops in the Richmond, VA area and has a thorough understanding of matching bowlers up to the right equipment for their game.  I do not think there is any way in hell that Leon Lamm will be asked for any input into this shop.

That's what I understood happened. I hate to lose Eric as a ball driller and a good guy to talk bowling with. I'm sure Mike will be an equal replacement. Since I live in Mooresville, I will probably go to Shawn McKee at Victory Lanes now. He is right around the corner and knows his stuff. It's a good thing Jeff bought the shop he was always buying a new ball when they came out anyway.

Mike, as a long time customer of Mike Whittington I would strongly suggest you try him.  He has been doing this much longer than Shawn and from what I understand does a much better job of fitting.

Hopefully all my files are still there, I may swing in when it comes time to get some work done. I used to bowl in the same league as Mike about 2 years ago in Charlotte. I'm sure with Mike I won't get the great friendly discount on work.

My wife and I have sold Strike-Mor Pro Shop to Jeff Morgan.  The name of the shop and the phone number will be retained. The shop will be managed by Mike Whittington, whom many of you know had worked for us when we owned the Park Lanes location. His pro shop expertise is well known in the Charlotte area.  We want to thank all our friends and customers that have supported us for the past 13 years and sincerely hope you will continue to make Strike-Mor Pro Shop your preferred pro shop in the greater Charlotte area.  I am still planning to help out occasionally in the shop and will be available for any of your special needs.
Again, thank you for your loyalty to us and we hope you show the same to Jeff and Mike. We wish them the best of luck in this venture.
