So WRW, Jr uses a different ball during qualifing!
« on: February 22, 2005, 01:07:25 PM »
The word in the hood is that he uses MoRich to qualify... and then switches to Track for the T.V. show

To me, this looks like a downhill formula! He's not winning doing this crap!

Who cares about the extra 10,000.00 Track gives you? Just throw what got you to the T.V. show!

Who knows, if he would do this, he may have already broken Earl Anthony's record and probably have 45 titles by now???

He's my favorite player but I don't agree with him on what he's doing!

Thoughts!

From what I understand, he still has the Dyno-thane Element in his bag too.

From the little I watched him in Birmingham he used nothing but Track. However I did not watch him a whole lot. Have to remember its all about the Benjamen's.

I don't think he cares what he uses on TV, I think it's always about what he thinks gives him the best chance to win.  He doesn't have an exclusive contract, so he's free to pick what he wants.

There's no guarantee that what surface/core combo that got you to the show will work on the show.  Lights, practice time, etc can change the pattern significantly.  Walter is arguably the best bowler ever so I think it's safe to say he can choose what ball will give him the best chance of winning.  It's easy to say "who cares about an extra $10K" when it's not you who's getting the money.

You, like a lot of other Morich fanatics obviously didn't READ this post on the Morich board...

Hey guys, just to claify some things.

1. Walter did have Track in his bag this week, not just MoRich stuff.
2. Walter does not have a contract of ANY kind with Track and can use whatever he wants when he wants.
3. If anyone was there for the practice before the show, you would know during the practice he was throwing a WMB and Track equipment. WRW had a MoRich shirt on during practice, and our Track rep who was there did not know which way WRW went until they introduced the bowlers for the start of the show. He must have changed after the practice session out of view.

Not complaining at anyone, just want to clarify some subjects and get the issues straight.
