Ball spinners?
« on: February 21, 2007, 09:54:23 PM »
Im looking into getting a ball spinner, what does everyone reccommend?  The main 2 im looking at r the vertex mold 1/3hp & the donkee 1/3hp.  Mainly because of price, & the fact that i dont do THAT much polishing & sanding(although, i probably will after i have my own spinner).

Is there anything else i should look at for around the $200 price range?

I suggest you spend the extra $20 bucks or so and get the 1/2hp model Vertex. It will last longer than the 1/3hp. $20 bucks now will save you from spending the $200 again in the future.

I bought my vertex a few months ago. have used it only to clean stuff so far and it's great. I also got the 1/2 HP....worth the extra money as is the foot pedal. From what I could tell and heard the Donkee, even though it came with a splash guard, vibrates a lot. As for the splash guard, thanks to someone on here, they led me to buy a (I think) 20 or 30 gallon rubbermaid tub at Walmart for about $15 bucks to keep the spinner in. Works fine.
