Ok so i think i've narrowed my search for a dry lane ball down to 3. The Slate Blue Gargoyle, The Vibe, and the Sahara. I know the Sahara isn't out for another month or so but based on the specs what would anybody think would be the best choice. And keep in mind I'm talking about for light to toasted conditions. Still using my Optyx Cryptkeeper but want to get away from using that as a strike ball when lanes are light. Plus the fact that I somtimes even overhook that ball depending on conditions. As always all input is appreciated. And also any possible drilling options would be helpful too. Thanks.

What about the Brunswick Dry R, it was rated a 34 for hook potential in the BTM

For the money you can't go wrong with the Dry/R. The Brunswick Power Groove Dry/R has a higher Rg (2.70=more length) and slightly higher differental (.041=better carry) than the gargoyle.  It is the best toast ball I have seen/used to date.  You might consider it.  If you have aready made up your mind about those three then I would go Slate Blue Gargoyle (high $ for urethane), then Sahara, and finally the Vibe.  I just can't see spending the big $ Visionary wants for a Urethane ball.

I have posted in the Mo forum, with the core and coverstock I find it very difficult to believe anyone can throw the Sahara on a "toasted" condition. It is using the Punisher's coverstock, which is hardly for dry lanes. HOWEVER it is does have the advantage of being asymmetrical, but I still do not see it being for true dry lanes.

I agree with Excalibut, in that the Sahara is not the best choice for you.  It will to be strong of a ball on dry conditions.  The best choices are a Barrage, Dry/R, or my personal favorite, the V2 Dry (if you can find one).  Those balls are all weak, and will handle what you are looking for.

I'm not sure how people can give advice on a ball they haven't seen yet...  Not to single out Excalibur, but Track makes a lot of very strong balls, and quite a few asymmetric cores as well.  I read in the Track forums about how versatile the equipment is in the right hands.  How can the Saraha be discounted before it's released?

Look how many people here voted for strong particles such as the GP2 as an extremely versatile ball useable for everything from heavy oil down to the driest of dry.

One thing keeps bothering me.  In several posts you mention that even your plastic ball sometimes overhooks.  If that's a problem, nothing urethane, reactive or particle is going to help you.

Although I love my Slate Blue Gargoyle most times, I had better luck tonight with my Blue Hot Flame (no longer available).  The SBG wanted to grab early and didn't give me a good look at the pocket.  I was able to get better length from the BHF and found a way to tame the backend.  There are a lot of good choices mentioned in this post.  I'm not sure which I'd recommend for you.

Strider,

With many bowlers having issues with balls such as Power Grooves on dry, I hardly believe that a cover such as n'control powerboost is going be good on toast.  
However, I want add this: VERY true it is that none of us have seen the Sahara yet. Those that are suggesting someone get it have not seen it either have they? I did not say "Do not it", I said "I do not see it being for dry lanes". Compared to much of Mo's other equipment it may be great for lighter patterns.

Mo in my opinion makes great equipment. So I am sure he is going to get this ball to be what he wants it to be.
