If anyone seen the women bowl on ESPN was Nebraska girls really throwing spare balls or was that red ball something else?

Google her.  She isn't a bad looking woman by some of the pictures posted.  I'm guessing the heavy eyes are a game face.  When you read up on her you have to admire her a little for what she has dealt with health wise to this point.  Her credentials obviously speak for themself though and this past weekend she was off a bit.  Couldn't have been happy knowing the team counts on her and here they are, bowling for the championship and she was having trouble striking when they needed her to step up.  I expect we'll run in to her at Nationals in the future, either bowling for one of the team USA groups or a solid team out of Nebraska.

ICE, I'm not referring to her beauty.  I'm just questioning how the "intensity" has to be accompanied with this dark overtone.  Of course with my deeply religious upbringing, I'm still trying to grasp the need for anything North of a corset and an evening gown.

Really? Because you were the first one to mention violence.

And there's really nothing that interests me in Wisconsin. Unless you want to throw in one of those Cheesehead hats. That might make it worth the trip.

Yeah, that had Hallmark written all over it.

To end this portion of the conversation, I'll admit to being wrong about calling her out for her "Goth" image.  If this is how she wishes to gear up for an event, sobeit.  Her accomplishments are far greater to this point of her life than mine.

Same people ripping on this chick are probably the same people that rip on Scroggins for looking like he does..

What happened to never judge a book by it's cover?? Isn't that what we teach children? Yet here the adults are, judging the girl by how she looks while trying to win a NATIONAL championship. Of course she's going to have intensity stamped on her forehead. Who cares that she has black eyeliner and black hair.

All you should care about is that it was a fantastic match that could have gone either way...not the fact that one of the participants was dressed differently, or looked a certain way.

Grow up and mature a little.

So you poke fun at:

1) the way this girl dresses,
2) applies makeup,
3) her bowling demeanor,

AND,

You take delight at her misfortune (missing the single pin spare).

That's an awfully great attitude to have.

What goes around, comes around, remember that.

Boy! You guys!!!

....anyways, I knew those balls they were using were Columbia pieces, I just never would have thought they were pulses.

Pulses are pretty mellow pieces as I remember, so they must have been playing on a pretty lite oil shot??

I know one girl was throwing what looked like a Razzle. And what was the swirly Roto piece that one of the FDU girls was tossing?

I was at the tournament all week and cassandra is a great bowler no doubt about that. Is she intense most definitely but who wouldn't be with back to back national championships on the line? And to question or make fun of her because of her eyeliner and haircut really? First off how old are we and second what a shallow thing to do. She is a great bowler and from the actions I saw and the congratulations I wished her she seams like a very nice person.
