I applied for a ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) on return from ABC Nationals Reno in June 04. Today I finally receive a reply from them telling me that my application have been rejected. Reason is (direct quote) "must provide the treaty country name and the applicable treaty article." If I still require an ITIN, I'll need to complete a new form W-7 and submit with appropriate supporting documentation. For assistance I can call (215)...... not a toll free number.
Problem is I got the forms at the Stadium signed by a US notary public. And where can I get a new W-7 form and the applicable treaty country and the applicable treaty article?
My wife applied for hers when she bowled WIBC last year and recieved he ITIN without any problem.
Does any non US bowlers have this problem?
