  Has anyone ever used one of theses things and was able to hold on to the ball

I tried it and liked it but it doesn't last very long.  I bowl 3 times a week and by the second week the stitching came loose. 
 
I used some white tape in the thumb hole to give me a bit more grip. 


I use whatever ball works for me.
