A Better Spare System
« on: February 05, 2014, 01:11:33 PM »
Here is a great graphic to explain "The Triax Spare System". It is a "Cliff Notes" version of Rolf Gauger's article.
Spares were the "Achilles Heel" of my bowling game. I started using this spare system in the start of league this past September and increased my average by 20 pins!!
This system works. Give it a try.
See attached PDF file for a great spare system that works for everyone.

Here's a copy of Rolf Gauger's article about The Triax Spare System to go with that.

Thanks for the pdf files.  I have two different versions of the OPs but they are too large to post here.  I have the png versions so I will see if those fit.

somewhere between 2008 and 2010, I went away from this system. I've gained weight, got older, and my style had changed a little. I was introduced to this system back in the early 2000's and I was a WAAAYY better spare shooter then vs. the last 3 seasons.

Sometime ago I tried going back to this system, but struggled "visually" with the left side spares and ditched the system completely. I've never been the same since.....

Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..
