Question on projecting
« on: January 20, 2009, 07:30:00 AM »
I have been making some adjustments to my game lately.

I'vs always been told I don't project the ball far enough out on the lane.
I usually only clear the foul line by about 3-5 inches.

I haven't noticed a problem but I have been told that in order to become better I have to project the ball further out on to the lane.

If I am consistant is this a problem?
What is the benefit of getting it out further on to the lane?

Thanks in advance.

generally if you project it aand it gets further out on the lane you stayed behind the ball better and as a result the ball will push through the heads better and it will stay online better

Wanna try a trick out??? Add forward to your thumb pitch, it will stay on your hand slightly longer and you will project the ball up the boards better.

Also make sure you stay below the equator with your hand until releasing the ball. It will push the ball farther and play more direct.

You are asking the way you bowl is a problem vs become a better bowler?

No problem if you are ok with it, you want to get better you go find a good coach, and for sure not asking advise like this on a forum.

Projecting the ball on the lane is the result of how you throw the ball, has nothing to do with better or worse, when you get better on the approach you will see the ball project better on the lane.
