Need ball recomendations
« on: September 13, 2004, 02:02:15 PM »
Me and my brother have recently gotten into bowling and purchased our own balls.  Our dad now wants to join us and get a ball for himself.  He has been using an old red hammer for the past 10 years and been pretty succesful with it.  He throws the ball very hard and doesnt really give the ball too much time to get a lot of hook.  So he is looking for a ball that hits really hard and might be good for his style of play... Any recomendations?

1 more thing, not sure if this will help or not.. The alley we usually play at has high oil lanes.

We were actually looking at the Rule, mainly cause we liked the looks of it alot, buts its good too know that will actually be a good ball for him.  Thanks for the reply.  Anyone else have other suggestions before we make our final decision?

I would say for heavy oil, the Animal is awesome. I've had mine only for a few weeks and I've been impressed on it's power and energy through all parts of the lane. From what I've heard the Rule has an even better pop at the back, maybe that's what your dad needs. Let us know what you decide and how he does with it...

MrFabulous -- Take a look at the Goliath.  I don't have any personal experience with it, but if it does what Brunswick says it will . . .  --  JohnP
