Look! Read! Enjoy!!!!

If you live in a city with a weekly recap of the top scores, and you're one that contributes every so often or on a regular basis, you might get more results than you think.  *Sigh*  The Hamster used to be good . .

Ok, ok, this was just an ego boost, of course, but I think you all should do something like this.  Besides, it's pretty cool going back and looking at some of this stuff.  Some of you might find these articles pretty interesting, especially if you don't have weekly columns in your papers, as we are fortunate enough to have.  Of course I just dug through here and picked out most of them that I appeared in (the capsules above the scores by center) but I added a couple that mentioned other interesting things.  Maggie Crawford's 860, 12 year old Amanda Schiffelbein's 283, an ambidextrous guy with 10 righthanded 300's and 2 lefthanded ones, the mention that Bob Benoit has over 50 sanctioned perfect games, things of that nature.  But, lol, if you'll notice in one of the articles, I've got to have the distinction of the only person that ANY paper mentions having a PRACTICE 300, lmao.  It was practice for the upcoming city Top Ten at a house that isn't all that popular.  It was just me, a buddy and the manager there.  Lol, I didn't say much of anything to anybody, but I started talking about it after people mentioned seeing it in the paper.  Talk about desperation to promote the house, geez.  ANYWAY, I'm gonna shut up now.  Enjoy . .

HAH!  I don't know ANYBODY now!

Being in adult leagues teaches you many things.

1.  You're not on top anymore, but there are a lot more people that suck worse than you do now.

2.  The myth about the youths having an easier shot is NOT TRUE.  I'd have an entire ring collection if it was.

3.  Drunk adults are a lot funnier than drunk youths.

Man, is this guy full of himself. Post practice scores, scores shot a year ago. Give it a rest.

If adult conditions are so easy, why haven’t you shot anything to brag about since you went bowling on adult conditions? If conditions are that easy then even poor execution should be covered up.

while the idea is sound of you going thru and seeing when you were excelling, posting them on here was a pretty bad idea, it only makes people think you are full of yourself.

This entire problem you are having with confidence started with your over-confidence, don't let the cycle happen again. You used to post every week about practice scores or how u didn't get your dues or didn't carry and only shot this or that, and how you thought you should get props. You went to adults and like many juniors, you got a big time gut check. The conditions ARE usually harder in adults, so is the pressures of money, so is the competitition. You then went into a big down stroke and things fell apart. If you go back to thinking you are the best bowler alive, the cycle will repeat. Be in the middle, know you have skill and confidence but dont go around flaunting it and trying to make people think you do as well, let them make their own judgements.

Hamster
I think posting the bowling from your area is cool but the gloating about well my name is in for a 300 in practice. Big woop. It is know that you will carry more often in practice when you are relaxed than you will in league most times. But I do like to see the scores in other parts of the country

Lol, just having fun, helllooooo . .  Actually, I thought it was SAD that my practice 300 was in the paper, didn't you get that drift?  Wow, so I shot a bunch of low-mid 7's in the last couple years, who hasn't done that?  Lol, and your definition and my definition of bad execution are two different things.  I have had the front 9 a couple times this year, just haven't punched anything through yet.  And when the competition is stiffer, not a whole lot short of 270 or 750 is worth mentioning.  I was kinda thinking this might be a thread that other people would show up and post articles of their own, kind of like a group confidence booster type thing . .  Remember the topic where everybody was posting links to pictures?  I have one sanctioned 300 that I caught a break in to get, and my high series is 770.  That's kinda small peanuts compared to some of the guys here, I'll brag when I have a score worth bragging about.
