Could be a number of things.  Thumb pitch is only one part of the package.  Span, flexibility, finger pitches and being double jointed are other factors.  You can add length of thumb and moisture.  Without actually seeing your hand you really can't tell much.

yes 100% right.

id also add to that shape of thumb hole. for instance, I had to have the back of the thumb hole opened up for my knuckle to clear better.

you really need to have things like this checked out in person. otherwise its just a shot in the dark.

As said without seeing it is a shot in the dark.

However right thumb pitch in a lefthander's ball tends to make you want to stay behind the ball and for many can cause hanging problems.

well we have somebody new in town drilling balls i have them a shot at one a few days ago. Right now were keeping my span the same, but we put more pitch in the figers (away from center of the grip)and went to an oval thumb rather than round with the same pitches as before. I got out of the ball slightly better but next were going to shorted the span as she thinks my spans long. (i thought it was short but what do i know)There going to do it for free on an old ball for me so i will see how it turns out.
