"Unofficial brag"...
« on: November 16, 2005, 01:46:21 PM »
My partner and I have unofficially won the scratch doubles at the National Mixed Championships.

I'm not revealing his identity on the board- I'll leave that for him to do.

If you look at the game scores, you can see it took us a while to figure it out - but then we shot lights out from then on!

Don't fret. I DO jot down EVERY shot.  I use the Bowlers Resource Center Score Book - don't miss a thing... (shameless promotion - but hey - the tool works!)

Wow! I designed something similar to "Bowlers Resource Center Score Book". I have a paper version and working on building a Database. The only difference is I have a Space to Enter Ball Speed.

Thank you all for your kind words.

It was an honor and a pleasure to bowl with mumzie in Reno, and I'm looking forward to defending our title next year.

I too used a BRC Score Book in Reno.  I had quite a bit of difficulty up there on Saturday in Trios and Team, but kept notes on all of my ball changes, lateral moves, physical adjustments, etc.  During that first game of Doubles, I went back through my notes, and in doing so, I was able to make the choice of ball and release that I used for the remainder of the set.

Granted, one could argue that I might have been able to do the same with a spiral-bound notebook, but the BRC book allowed me to organize my notes in a more useful manner.

Hey, I am Ray Salas, who are you? Creep! Kidding, LOL. Good shooting, Ray, you are a good bowler plus you killed them with your 16 pounders. I have always told my bowling friends that 1 pound makes a difference in hitting power as long as the bowler have the strength to control it. And in a good bowler's hands, it can make a big difference. Not to hijack mumzie's thread who is a good bowler herself and your team is really tough, but I know you are an avid bowling fan like me so do you know who else in the PBA (exempt-list) still bowl with 16 pounds? Thanks and hope to see you on the lanes soon.
