Title: need help
Post by: footerson on February 02, 2009, 03:34:30 AM
during the summer i bowl a lot of sport shot tourneys to prepare for college and i have a little trouble on shorter shots and i was wondering which kinds of layouts would help me control the friction and turn.

Try reducing rev rate, weaker hand first. Then try to produce more skid by relasing the ball more parallel to the lane surface with your hand pushing through the release (not the fingers). Equipment is so expensive... releases are free.

Explain what kind of trouble you're having.  --  JohnP

You could try an older weak reactive or urethane ball.

i experience a lot of over under. ill get lined up and wont get a consistent reaction. sometimes it will bite a little earlier sometimes it wont and carry ends up being an issue with that

What type of lines are you typically playing and what's your ball speed?  As far as equipment my suggestion is something really smooth, or something that gets down the lane a little better and doesn't just go left on friction.  Try the extreme outside if you haven't already.
