Also do not forget about the Freeze line from Columbia, the solid Freeze would be a great ball for you.  You can also wait until the Columbia U2 Classic comes out, it is a Resurgence core with a urethane cover.  This will be more aggressive than your old urethane ball, but a lot less than the Thrash.

I would trcommend a Brunswick Slingshot or a Hammer Backlash both are lower end balls but still have enough core to carry well.

I would look at the new Roto Grip Scream/Shout that are coming out.  These balls all have the strong Neutron core with a weaker pearl or solid cover.  The Neutron core provides plenty of power, so those would be 2 good options.

You may also want to consider a Track 300C.  It's a great ball that has a proven core and will provide a nice smooth arc motion.

The Rising Star and Tropical Heat hybrid may be a little too much ball for what you need.  They both have a stronger hybrid cover than most at that price point.  Although I could open the lane up with the Rising Star I used to own, I still had issues with controlling the backend on it sometimes.  That was throwing it around 19-22mph with a negative pin above layout and P1 balance hole to weaken the flare potential.

You can always just go to a newer urethane ball. Columbia has "The Classic" coming out in June, like chrisleftwich said. Storm has "The Natural" or the Roto Grip "Grenade". There are some good ones.

I would attempt a surface change on the Thrash.  If you choose a weaker pearl, they'll go a bit longer but read the friction harder on the backend.

With your ball speed, you're really at a disadvantage with even the weakest reactives.

The Motiv Recon RX1 Silver is a good "weak" reactive that will not skid flip and will not over-react off the dry.  I find that it hooks as much/or as little as the Storm Natural that I also own but the RX1 creates a better entry angle to the pocket leaving less corner pins.  The RX1 also hits as hard as any ball I've ever owned - or so it seems because the pins go flying.

I would also recommend a surface change for the Thrash. I took mine to 4000 abralon and it made a tremendos  difference

One thing you may not realize, may not even occur to you is that today many surfaces on balls are either just a "suggestion" from the manufacturer or what their marketing people think will look best on the shelf. These day many, many people don't give a 2nd thought to changing the surface, especially since there are so many release variations and such a wide variety of oil patterns.

The Thrash comes with what is considered today to be a very aggressive surface finish, 1000 grit. AS you probably don't have a spinner or the associated equipment, you should feel free to ask the pro shop where you had the ball drilled to adjust the coverstock to 2000, 3000 or 4000 grit, each of which is smoother than the previous one and will get you more length and less overall hook. Most pro shops included free surface adjustments for the one time or the life of the ball. Any decent shop should be able to do such a change in a very short time, unless they are back up on Saturday afternoon.

Until you have tried a couple of surface adjustments (a couple of smoother grit levels and then, if necessary, polish), my suggestion is don't even consider another ball. The Thrash is a very good ball and capable of a lot. Learn what is possible with it, then proceed to others. That are a ton of balls out there. No need to try a new one, when the first doesn't work the first time.
