Need help buying a ball
«

My husband has recently started bowling, recreationally, and is loving it. I would like to purchase a ball for him but don not know where to start. All I know is that he prefers a 14 lb. ball.

Does he bowl straight or with a spin? If he spins it does he use 3 fingers or 2? I wouldn't purchase a ball that was too expensive, maybe in the 75-100 range brand new. Keep in mind that it's probably going to cost you anywhere from $30-40 to have it drilled also. Personally I would go up to the alley and have the pro shop guy talk to him about what ball he needs. I probably wouldn't buy the ball there though because they tend to be expensive. That's just my opinion though, in the end it's up to you. Any info on how he bowls would help out alot though.

I would probably go with something basic. The Ebonite Bash or Clash could be a good choice and you can get them off bowling.com for 84.99 with free shipping. Not a bad choice. I would suggest anything here.
