How does this arsenal stack up?
« on: December 13, 2004, 01:07:15 AM »
Hey everyone,

I move a lot of gear, but I've been trying to settle in and get used to one arsenal. Nevertheless, I feel like I may benefit from chaning up a couple of balls in the lineup. Here's what I've got:

Flood-Track Animal
Heavy: Thing Lives
Med-Heavy: Vicious Particle Pearl
Medium: X Factor Pro
Med-Light: Reaper 2
Light: Sonic X Pearl
Burnt-Spares: Target Zone

I can play straighter lines, but I'm becoming more comfortable when I can go deep and swing from the inside. With that in mind, I'm thinking that the X Factor Ace may be a better choice than the VPP for med-heavy, and that an Intense Inferno may be better than the Reaper 2 for Med-Light. If I were to pick up the Intense, I would most likely polish the Reaper like a marble and use that for light, because I still don't know what the heck the Sonic X wants to do. What do you guys think? I know that you don't know the drillings on all of these, but, based upon their intended conditions and my desired line of play, do you think that these two swaps would prepare me better than I am now, or should I leave well enough alone? Any help you can give me is appreciated.

I can't bowl 300, but I can bench 310 : )

The X Factor Ace for medium/heavy may be a good swap out, but I'm not so sure about Intense Inferno for medium-light conditions. Based on what I've seen out here on my Monday league shot (THS, heavier inside of 8, very light outside of 8), the Intense Inferno would burn out too quickly for people that like to swing to the gutter or play straight off the gutter, seemed to hook and roll out too quickly.

Otherwise, I think that's a great arsenal. My Animal handles floods very well, and I love the Target Zone for spares....those are the only 2 out of what you have that I personally own.
