i have it narrowed down to the retro piranha and the ebonite werewolf.
i can get both dirt cheap nib so i just need to know from someone who knows what they are talking about the main difference in the two as far as overall hook, late vs early etc. i bowl on synthetics with spotty carrydwon. its tough to get a lot of backend. which is the better choice? i play a 15-8 line most of the time, med-fast ball speed. thanks alot.

I took a look at the following site
WWw.bowlingballreviews.com
Here is the Werewolf
http://www.bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=72
Here is the Retro Piranha
http://www.bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=1859
The Piranha has some reviews on this site. If I remember right(you can do the research) they say ball is very good but weak on carrydown.
With such low flare potential I would have to guess that is correct.
Diff .24.
The Werewolf on the other hand has a good strong core which was then in the Wildcat which Jason Couch used extensively up till a couple of years ago.
I think the flare on that ball is quite a bit higher. (.45) or so differential.
I assume there are better balls but if old and cheap is what you are looking for probably the Werewolf is good. It may be very good as the Wildcat I have is quite strong at the back.
