need help with 12# balls
« on: February 21, 2012, 03:44:36 AM »
Ok for the wife I need to get an idea if there are any newer balls on the market that have a real core in the 12# weight.  I know a lot of manufactures change to a generic core below 14#.  anybody know of any?

B'wick is the only manufacturer I'm aware of that keeps dynamic integrity below 14lbs.  However if you're looking at a weaker core ball (Tropical Heat, Cyclone, etc) it doesn't really matter....85% of the hook is cover anyways.

900 Global has the same core in the 12 pounds as well.

As per Eric Thomas:

Hi Allen,

The Train has the same core shape in the lighter 12lb ball….we do that on all of our products except the 10lb hook…that is the only ball that has a different core shape.

Train 12lb #s are 2.61 RG and .035 diff…..So the numbers do vary based on density of material in order to get the weight down….But relatively speaking that’s still strong for 12lbs!

Thanks that is what I was looking for.  It is not about the amount of hook it is that I have seen with her a ball with a real core carries better for her.  Thanks again.
