Ok, I took slingshot down to 2000, 3000 saiair pad by hand this morning. I didn't think a spinner was needed at this time.
I went to the lanes and ask for a beat up pair. Well, I got what I wanted and then some. With popcorn on the floor, on the ball return, and pieces on the approaches, I knew I had a good pair. (Ryan, no joke...Steven didn't have his staff clean up after Xmas unlimited bowling)
I tried different releases during my first two games. My normal release was hooking too much with my slingshot. Then my hand more on the side of the ball, or more axis rotation, but it was speed sensitive and the backend was still a bit snappy. Then I tried coming off behind the ball keeping my release soft. The slingshot rolled really nice clearing the heads, reading mids, and taking out out the corners like crazy. The next three games was for score leaving only 9/ or X's.. Each lane played differently by 5-7 boards, with the left lane pushing me past the track each game.
Finally, coming off behind the ball was the best option during this time. My normal release and side rotation release were leaving corners or going Brook. So in the end, a good practice session.
Thanks for the tips Peeps
The house is dressing only 11 pairs for senior league tomorrow morning. So I'll try the natural urethane tomorrow, but this ball is stronger than SS... It's still OOB
