yes call it a lesson learned. I shipped with USPS for a long time, had no problems..then I sold an Ebonite Skull Ball...shipped it USPS..auction stated buyer must pay for insurance, which he didn't.
Next thing I know I get an email a few weeks later saying he didn't get the ball, and wanted a refund...I said nay sir..my auction states, after I ship I am not responsible for lost or damaged items if you do not pay for the insurance.
So he took the claim to pay pal...even thought my auction stated it(and we all know eBay claims that when you buy or sell something, it's a contract, and I CLEARY put that in lol) since I didn't have a tracking number, I couldn't do anything about it.
I had the receipt for shipping and everything...I called PAY PAL they said too bad. So I lost the ball and the $100 or whatever I got for it. So I politely asked...(I was fuming) so what you're telling me is anything I've ever bought off of eBay that hasn't come with a tracking number, I can claim I never got, and get my money back....the answer was..if you wanted to be dishonest, yes. I said.......and how many dishonest people are there in the world?
I then said okay so if I choose not to pay you guys back from the money you miraculously pulled out of my account..she said we'll take you to collections.
It was and still is a bunch of garbage....I refuse to ship anything via USPS ever again.
Okay I'm calm now...have a nice day
