need opinion please

late ive been throwing the ball with alot of side roll with my ball and have been scoring again vs playing alot more up behind the ball both styles create a good poket hit for me but why would one roll create such a drastic difference in carry? for instance i can rip threw a ball and track high and hit the poket and i can track middle and hit the poket from the same place and my carry is 3 times as good it just has me thinking about why that would make such a difference

Lane conditions. If your entry angle matches up with lane conditions you will likely carry the corners better. Practice both releases regularly and you'll become very adept when others may struggle.

its all about how your ball enters the pocket. carry is all angle and if the ball is rolling into the pocket the proper way. being more up the back may create to much roll which makes your ball enter to flat. while side roll gets your ball to face the pocket with more angle.

I am exactly the opposite.. I usually have a high degree of axis rotation and usually play skid flip with a big backend.. I recently have gone to smoother earlier rolling ball.. I found before I could carry but I had to be perfect with my shot..... I''m finding lately I can get away with a wider pocket hit than before..
