Need some answers about Pearl balls
« on: June 25, 2010, 07:52:27 AM »
Well I started bowling in ABT and it mostly flat patterns. Well with it being flat and more oil I got an Invasion thinking it would be good for it. I had it drilled strong thinking that is what I needed. Well the Invasion didn't hook much at all.

In the last tourney til fall I started with my Invasion and it didn't move at all. So I grabbed my Reign and it hooking great. Is it possible that I should just use pearl bowling balls or is there pearl heavy oil balls? My stats are 16 - 16.5, 345 revs and little axis.

Quadrajet - I have the Invasion at 1000. I know that is where I messed up as I thought I wasn't getting reaction because I didn't have enough surface but never thought it was burning up. Makes alot of sense now.

Cool, glad to hear it.  Hopefully you can get it to work now that you have a better idea of what's happening.

Bowl well!

Your axis rotation also matters as does tilt! Higher axis rotation need stronger layouts to get the ball to roll sooner and lower axis rotation a strong drilling will roll to soon and possible roll out.

batbowler - I know that I have very little axis tilt but not sure about the rotation I will have to check into that again.
