Need some help guys
« on: August 02, 2010, 02:25:27 PM »
Ok, here's the situation guys.  I'm a decent bowler...nothing special, no god to bowling, but I'm decent and I enjoy the sport.

Problem is, that I have pretty much peaked right now and I know why.  For whatever reason, the way my release is I don't so much roll the ball as spin it.  I track low and have a smallish track diameter.  Problem is, I can't feel myself doing it.  I don't feel like my hand is turning around the ball, I don't feel like I'm coming over the top.  To me, it does feel like I am lifting correctly and should be rolling the ball instead of spinning it.  Yet shot after shot, the ball comes back and the track is in the same low position and the diameter is small.  Not to mention that my ball doesn't have a smooth roll....its pretty much skid snap all the time.

What I'm asking all of you is this....Do any of you have any ideas or drills that might help me abate this problem?  Have any of you struggled with this in past?  If you did, how did you solve it.  I feel like its something simple that can be corrected quickly, but the problem is that I don't feel like anything is wrong, though I know it is.

Couple of videos of me.  I know they aren't terrific or close, but they are of the way I throw the ball.
