Title: Need some suggestions
Post by: bowler0821 on December 20, 2003, 09:39:15 PM
Well my coach says that I need a ball with a low pin place ment that will rev early and have a nice smooth backend. I would like to know what people would say and maybe how to drill it.
I was thinking-
Super Charge
Big Blue
Raging Inferno
Inferno
Sharp Blade
Crunch

Please let me know what you think I would even take older balls into consideration.
Thanks

From your list the Big Blue (expensive) and Crunch (much cheaper) look like the best choices.  Vortex 2, Smash-R, Element, Granite Gargoyle would be good choices as well.  How much oil are you looking to handle?

Drilling: pin 4" from PAP (even to slightly above ring finger to be safe if you're a high tracker), CG kicked right a bit.  Something like a 4 x 3.

Of course, I'm partial, but...
I'd strongly recommend the Smash/R.
As long as you keep it clean, it likes medium to slightly heavy oil, and rolls REAL true.
It hits the pins with what YOU put on it.
Awesome ball. In my top 5 all time favorites.

well I am not really sure on the amount of oil I would like to say some where around the med oil because I have a good amount of revs and also I throw about 15-18 mph
my arsenal that i switch what I use a lot is-
Lrg
Deuce
Boost
X-factor
Eraser Pearl Particle
Hot Wire
Too Hot
Spare

Please let me know what else would be good so far I like the idea of storms super charge but my coarch storm is not good for realy reving balls only balls that go long so please let me know and thanks again.

rev early always = low RG to me,.....Super Charge, LRG, V2 sanded, V2 Particle, RotoGrip Rush, Crunch would work, Big Blue,...etc....

2.5 RG and under would be best........

When I got my ball, it was between the Crunch and the Predator Jungle Green. I got the jungle green, thought I wish I wouldnt have, but only because its an early roller. It will turn early and roll pretty far. Its almost annoying for me because I like more backend in a ball, and when I throw this I always get a early hook and along backend roll and over shoot. But if you want an early rolling ball, the Jungle Green would not be a bad choice. I have mine drilled pin under and out right of ring finger about 1/2 inch or so.
