I'll take the bait, Sawbones
« on: October 03, 2003, 01:24:34 AM »
Let's say you were looking for a tournament with a "tough shot" to truly test yourself.  Of the 2 following scenarios, what would you rather shoot on?  A complete desert that would reduce everyone to throwing white dots gutter to gutter, or choice 2)  long heavy oil that would allow you to hit the pocket rather easily, but extremely tough to carry strikes on?  In other words, would you rather pit your spare game against everyone, or take your chances with the bone dry condition?

Me?  I'd pick long oil.  Take it all the way to the pins if you want, because I get enough of dry lanes and flying back ends on the regular league shot!

Long oil.  Next question.

Oh.  A desert is NOT the same as flying backends, by the way.  You WANT flying backends with head oil and midlane hold.

My toughest shot would be the bone dry type.  I can adjust much easier to really soaked lanes than I can when they are bone dry.  Never really been able to figure that out either.  Ive bowled more in floods than in the Sahara

Thanks for the correction, but around here they seem to fly too much, for my taste anyway!  On second thought, maybe it's because there isn't any midlane hold area...
