It's like any other clear ball on the market. There is a ball manufacturer in Asia that will make balls with about anything in them if you're willing to pay for it. This is probably where the auctioner gets his balls from and sells them to bowlers on ebay. This is not the first time I've seen stuff like that in bowling balls.
